Dr Ashish Thakur is a Arthroplasty Surgeon from Central India, who always has been academically inclined towards arthroplasty and concerning joint pathologies. After doing his graduation and post graduation from Nagpur. He worked in Delhi with Dr Goyal and was the pioneer in starting up the arthroscopy division in the hospital. After being associated with many joint replacement surgeries ,he traveled to Seoul, South Korea to work with Dr J Y Park who is a very reputed shoulder surgeon throughout Asia Pacific region. He worked along with him on Rotator cuff pathologies along with Shoulder Replacement surgeries and many more pathological conditions of shoulder joint. He worked with him on various research publications about Shoulder Arthroplasty.

Dr Ashish Thakur also travelled to Chonnam National University,South Korea to work with Dr E K Song. Dr Song is a knee surgeon of repute with whom he did his fellowship in Joint Replacement surgeries and Arthroscopic repair with the help of ROBODOC. He also worked over Computer assisted surgery with the help of Navigation for Joint replacement and Arthroscopic surgeries. This center is one of the very few centers from around the world where they have the facility of ROBODOC surgeries in Joint Replacement.

After travelling around the world and working with various renowned surgeons, Dr Thakur came back to Nagpur and provided his services to the oldest running charitable Institute in Nagpur ( Mure Memorial Hospital) as a part of his endeavor to serve the society.
